Nuclear power in Finland: current reactor status

Finland has five nuclear reactors in commercial operation at two power plants: Olkiluoto 1, 2 and 3 in Eurajoki and Loviisa 1 and 2 in Uusimaa. Olkiluoto's three reactors are shown individually using TVO data, while Loviisa's two reactors are combined into one shared card.

Nuclear power in Finland

Nuclear power supplies around 40 percent of Finland's electricity – one of the highest shares in the world. Olkiluoto in Eurajoki has three reactors: two boiling water reactors and the Olkiluoto 3 pressurized water reactor, Europe's largest reactor, which entered commercial operation in 2023. Loviisa has two VVER-440 pressurized water reactors.
