About Olkiluoto nuclear power plant

Olkiluoto nuclear power plant is located on Olkiluoto island in Eurajoki, Satakunta, and is operated by Teollisuuden Voima (TVO). Olkiluoto 1 and 2 are 890 MW boiling water reactors commissioned in 1979 and 1982. Olkiluoto 3, a 1,600 MW EPR pressurized water reactor, entered commercial operation in 2023 and is Europe's largest reactor. Olkiluoto is also home to Onkalo, the world's first deep geological repository for spent nuclear fuel.

Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Eurajoki operates three reactors. Olkiluoto 1 and 2 are boiling water reactors with a net output of 890 MW each. Olkiluoto 3 is an EPR pressurized water reactor with a net output of 1,600 MW.
