About Ringhals nuclear power plant

Ringhals nuclear power plant sits on the Värö peninsula in Varberg municipality, Halland, and with two reactors in operation is Sweden's second-largest nuclear plant. Ringhals 3 and Ringhals 4 are pressurized water reactors commissioned in 1981 and 1983 that together can deliver around 2,200 MW. Ringhals 1 and 2 were shut down in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
